The digital photo of my artwork is a bird’s eye view of Union Square shot on the eve of December 3rd, 2025. The photo was taken behind a glass pane on the 8th floor of the Macy’s Department Store. I snapped a photo of this scene because I wanted to capture the quiet and combined beauty of tranquility and melancholy of urban spaces where the hustles and bustles of daytime shopping and loud activities faded into the silence of the night during the Christmas season, leaving only the reminiscence and echo of what had existed there only hours ago.
