Too often, this detachment leads to blissful ignorance, where we avoid confronting issues that don’t seem to affect us, instead of working to solve them. Through this image, I hope to inspire others to recognize the importance of empathy and see that each life is valuable—not just another statistic in the news. Our collective awareness and action are crucial in times like these, and it’s through acknowledging one another’s humanity that we can begin to make a difference.

Creativity, to me, is the art of translating complex global conflicts into visual truths. Creative art forces us to confront uncomfortable realities, like the apathy many show in times of crisis, despite many suffering around them. Ultimately, the language of art is universal; it demands attention when words fail
