• Artist Statement

  As someone who loves to sing, both in ensembles and on my own, I find my deepest joy in music. What I find fascinating about creating music is that it doesn't matter where or how the music is being performed; often, practicing in a mundane rehearsal room with my friends is just as magical and transcendent as performing on the stage of an opera house. This poem is my attempt at describing the uplifting, transcending feeling I get while singing at chorus.
