Anisa and June are my original characters that I created out of my love for cowboys, especially ones in fiction. I was inspired by one of my favorite tv shows Billy the Kid (2022) and the game Red Dead Redemption 2, though instead of focusing on an outlaw character, I thought it would be interesting to write through the point of view of a town sheriff. I’m a big fan of forbidden romance and the enemies to lovers trope, and I think it should be normalized to write romance between two women—even in a Wild West setting.

Creativity means being able to come up with multiple ideas and expressing it in some way, usually through art. I think creativity can look different for each person.
