This photograph depicts a split second in a pick up basketball game, the defender aggressively closing out as the ball just leaves the shooter's hands. My goal with this photograph was to freeze the tension and excitement of sports, while still allowing the viewer to feel the motion of the subjects. By utilizing a fast shutter speed and a bunch of natural light, I believe I was able to turn the motion and emotion in sports into stillness that still feels alive.

Creativity to me means a medium for people to express their inner ideas that may be contrary or unusual to societal norms. The whole point of creativity is that it's new, fresh, and original.
