• Artist Statement

  Getting down (or up) to perspective of an animal is so essential to capture an intimate shot of it. Here with this mantis I wanted to capture the beauty of its camouflage in the golden grass, with the golden afternoon sun filtering through. But to get a quality composition while fulfilling that goal required getting down to its level.

  Creativity and art is the means to which I can glorify God, and show others His wonderful creation.
