• Artist Statement

  When I was young, I thought the Goldfish snack was actual goldfish. I look back and laugh how silly my imagination was, thinking it was real goldfish. Imagine reaching your small, marker stained hand inside the Goldfish bag and out pops actual goldfish! I thought this is a fun and imaginative piece where others could relate to this fun snack. Childhood imagination has a deeper meaning of not seeing objects of what they are, but what they can become. I used bright, contrasting colors to recreate a fun and carefree sense as a kid. This piece embodies the creativity and fascination that reminds others, ordinary things can be out of this world.

• Creative Statement

  Creativity means self-expression and sharing, spreading, and creating ideas and imagination to life. Being able to create art is my creativity and I would love to share my work with others.
