• Artist Statement

  I found it interesting that such a straight line was achieved with the varying heights of all the lilypads that stood below it. In a way, looking at it, it looked like the horizon; an endless path into what seems like nowhere. I had to line up my camera perfectly to capture the evenness they formed, a pattern I don't know if I'd ever capture again.

• Creative Statement

  Creativity is having fun. Rarely is it associated with negative emotions; it's a way to calm yourself, an activity done after a stressful experience. It's a broad term that can be applied to all subjects in the world-- as long as you're having fun while doing it.
