• Artist Statement

  My piece is inspired from my people, my silent blessings, my “Why” to loving my life, my reasons to live it. I sometimes forget why I even live, why do I keep going, mostly because I'm always at war with my mind, myself. So when I'm feeling a little down or overwhelmed by hurt I try to look for a way to shift my perspective, I talk to the Lord, I pray, I question Him. Most times He does leave me with no answer, but every time and I mean EVERY time when I'm left in silence I find myself thinking about why I love my life instead of why i dont wanna live it. One thing I know about myself is that I tend to look at all the bad or the sad in my life and not the good. That's where I start now.

  To me it means making the things that pop up in you mind exist, whether if its a drawing, writing, music, or even a whole building. its you creating your own unique things .
