• Artist Statement

  My artwork depicts a seashore completely covered by birds. One bird in this scene faces the camera unlike any of the others. To enhance his unique quality of being the only one facing camera I have decided to turn the photo monochrome aside from that bird. This isolated the bird completely. Additionally to bring focus towards the bird i have utilized cropping to keep the scene filled with only birds as well as to put the main pelican into a crop that fits the rule of thirds.

  Creativity is the process of presenting your unique outlook on the world to other viewers and getting them to think like you. Photography much like other art forms is a vessel in which to transcribe your perception.
