Ink and Watercolor

  • This piece is based on a very faint memory I had as a child. I was sitting at the kitchen table watching the television, which was someone adventuring in Europe, whether or not this place truly was Portugal or not, I don’t know; however, I’ve decided to come to that conclusion. There was a cozy feel to the inside building with comforting music, and a warm yellow building outside, with life continuing there. I decided to recreate this scene based on a bit more twisted interpretation, and instead of people, I would use dinosaurs. My process starts with a draft on a multi-media paper before being transferred to watercolor paper, inked over (with other small details added if needed), and then finishing with the painting. Just for fun, I decided to only choose dinsoaurs founded in portugal as well.

  • For me, creativity is one of the greatest forces the world has offered. It's an instinct given to us so that we can convey emotions and experiences beyond words, immersing both you and your audience to be immersed in a powerful yet somehow simple connection.
