• Artist Statement

  The lionfish, the central figure of my painting, has always captivated me- a creature both elegant and lethal, graceful yet dangerous. Known as one of the ocean's most venomous creatures, it rules its realm much like the lion, the "King of the Jungle". Through this piece, I wanted to capture that balance of elegance and power that defines the underwater world. Each color and shade was chosen with care to reflect the vibrant and harmonious coral life. This painting captures my childhood wonder and the awe I felt watching the ocean's hidden strengths come to life.

• Creative Statement

  Creativity to me means the ability to overcome obstacles. You may find two ideas that obviously do not "go together", but you persevere past this alienate appearance to fuse together and form something that is so unexpectedly beautiful. It ignites the fire inside other minds and inspires your own.
