• Artist Statement

  This piece is part of my project on how flowers looked in different settings with different types of apertures. When I saw this flower it was during the mid day and I noticed how it had just a little bit of light on it. The placement of the light reminded me of the flower from the Beauty and the Beast, it was mesmerizing. That moment I knew I had to capture it. I ran home, grabbed my supplies, and rushed back to capture that amazing moment. Whenever I look back at that photo it just captured my whole attention and I really wanted to share, and maybe give someone else the same pleasure I get from looking at it.

• Creative Statement

  What creativity means to me is to have your own way with things. To allow yourself to express things how you want to. Creativity is a type of freedom to express your desires and emotions. It’s part of being human.
