• Artist Statement

  I chose to submit poetry because it is the strongest format that I write in. I enjoyed writing this piece and I picked it for my submission because it focused on a somewhat different theme and setting than my writing usually does.

• Creative Statement

  To me, creativity means how someone chooses to express and bring to life their ideas. Creativity is different for everyone and I choose to be creative through my writing. Poetry, specifically, is what allows me to share myself with others; it is my creativity.
