Make Me As Perfect As The Glowing Sun is a collection of three poems, which all share the theme of rebirth. Each poem also uses light, or the absence of it, to represent something more abstract. A More Perfect Man presents a call to a creator to change yourself willingly, exploring the idea of changing into something unrecognizable, and ends in total darkness. Thy Holy Warrior presents a situation of fighting a demon inside yourself in a grand and biblical sense, exploring the idea of true hopefulness in the face of despair, and ends in heaven’s light. Ode: The Firefly is written for a firefly whose light is now fading, exploring the idea of losing your youth, becoming a new person in death, and shows how light and darkness are both necessary. All three poems are dear to my heart, and have helped me grow as an author.

Creativity is as necessary as breathing. We were born to create, to be more than what we are. We create a version of ourselves unique to anyone else, and I believe that this part of being human is the most beautiful part of living.
