The letters and shapes where made using clay. After the clay turned into bone dry I glazed the pieces using the Blick brand. Then fired and I glued the pieces to a small wooden bord. I then used white ground to finish the Mosaic.

Imagine being new to a town that miles away from your home and not having any family near. Mr.Pfahler moved from LA all the way to the Bay Area. I wanted to make him a gift so that he doesn’t feel alone. I decided to put his last name as the main attraction to the mosaic.I wanted to make it simple, something that would look nice as home decor and not bring too much attention to it.I decided on triangles and simple shapes.I decided on a green color for his name because when I first read his name it felt like the color green.I decided for different shades of blue as the background because I felt like it went well with the green, also because I see him wearing blue a lot and this piece really does feel like him.I'm really proud of my mosaic and how it came out.

What creativity means to me is being able to create. I't doesn't matter what you create, but the skill of being able to make something with your own hands, being able to give something life. That is what creativity means to me. To create.
