• Artist Statement

  This photograph was taken off the shore of San Francisco, when I was at the beach with my dad. I decided to go on a walk up near the cars, and as I turned to the sea, I took a deep breath in. This was my view. In this photo, it captures a quiet moment at the edge of the ocean, where light reflects on the water, and time, stagnant. My goal was to convey the peaceful feeling of being at the beach during the mistful afternoon. The positioning of the sun, the man standing on the bottom right of the photo, captures the perfect angle, at the perfect time.

  My version of creativity through photography captures moments that words cannot express - it’s a way where emotion, light, and memory all freeze in a single shot, allowing me to reminisce on beauty and the warm feeling of comfort long after the moment is gone.
