Ophelia is probably known as literature's most romanticized tortured woman, with artists from centuries after her death all coming together to paint her end to turn her suffering into something almost holy and untainted. All girls are kind of like ophelia, turning their suffering into something romantic and revered, and even though I am no longer a girl, that feeling still lingers with me. Despite everything, I must die beautifully, gracefully lifting my dress into the water as the flowers I pluck scratch at my skin. Even if there is blood on my face, it must only be to make me more beautiful before I die.
