• Artist Statement

  The piece Pearly Whites, aims to critique societal standards about beauty by using surrealism. The piece is a play on the saying "Pearly Whites" and how in actuality, the expression is very unrealistic. To show this, I created a surreal representation of what it would look like to have pearls for teeth.

• Creative Statement

  Creativity means creating authentic and original work, using one’s lived experiences, inspirations, imagination etc. Creativity doesn't just apply to works of art, but every aspect of life, it is a way of thinking.
