• Artist Statement

  In every game, there’s a moment where the silence on the sidelines speaks louder than the crowd. This is a black-and-white photo of a football player in the quiet moment of defeat during a timeout. Absent of color, the image focuses on the raw emotions of exhaustion, reflection, and the burden of competition. By isolating this single pause of vulnerability within an otherwise highly charged game, I aim to show the resolve and stamina required to keep playing a losing game. My work makes the unseen moments of struggle in every performance visible to the viewer.
