• Artist Statement

  When I created this piece I felt specifically inspired by my connection to my femininity and what it means to me being born a woman. I have always felt an internal rage against the patriarchy, and the expectations I face as a woman, so I wanted to express that in my painting. I felt using acrylic paint would be the best in this situation because it can easily be thrown across the canvas and built up to fully display the passion and emotion I felt creating.

  Creativity means being able to express yourself. This can be in any form really, to me it is painting and using other visual mediums to fully convey who I am and how I feel.
