Quiet Time

  • I wanted to express the social bubbles that people create when they are in public places and how that may look to other people watching. In a world full of busy work, constant talking and no peace, many people take the peace and silence for granted. In my photograph, I took the picture of my subject through a glass door of a cafe, enjoying his quiet time. I purposefully chose this composition of the man being outside of the glass doors (considering the photographer is inside of the room/cafe) because I wanted to show that the man is free from the societal boundary and pressure of routines. The whole world is black and white to show that there is no value or creativity in a world full of routines but when you embrace the stillness and the quiet time, then you will be able to find color in your life.

  • Creativity is a mean of expressing my thought and emotions through many mediums, such as photography, videography, and other forms of artwork. For me, I like to express the emotions that I might feel at the moment but also emotions of less represented themes and people through photography.
