I have a very deep personal connection with nature and it really impacts my emotions due to growing surrounded by it. My piece displays a landscape of greens and blues, displaying all the life and growth that happens out in nature, as well as personally in myself. To make myself pop out of the picture more, I displayed my figure by contrasting all the green in the painting with a red backpack and a yellow mattress pad. In the painting, I have roots that are wrapped around my legs. These roots represent security and safety, and how being out in nature calms everything going on in my life, as well as in my head. This connects to how I feel in nature as well as how I use nature to help with stress and anxiety.

Creativity doesn't necessarily mean the literal image, but the deeper meaning behind it, and how this reflects how one sees the world. It helps display the messages that may not be as easily put into words. Creativity is a way to step out of your comfort zone and express yourself.
