SHELBY BARRON

Alexander N.

Cannon Rebell 18-35mm lens (Camera)

  • My work is deeply influenced by film photography and the artists who shaped the medium before me. Growing up, I watched my dad— a classically trained film photographer— approach every frame with intention and care. His practice inspired my own, guiding me toward a style rooted in the texture, patience, and emotion of film. Although I shoot digitally, I strive to preserve the essence of film in each image: its softness, its honesty, and its ability to hold a moment without overstating it. My photographs are an exploration of that balance between past and present, tradition and technology.

  • To me Creativity is self expression and an outlet to do something other then schoolwork while also learning a life skill that I enjoy using whether it be photography or DJing.
