Standing, Singing, Rising

My work highlights the experience of grief and the resilience that follows. Through Still Standing, I examine the weight of personal burdens and the courage required to remain upright, even when shaken. In But I Sang, I transform pain into song, showing how creativity can turn suffering into something beautiful. The Clouds This Morning celebrates the joy of rediscovery, capturing the journey from start to finish. Across these pieces, I aim to create a vivid experience for the reader, while also putting them in the shoes of the author. My writing is to honour the hardness of survival and the quiet triumphs that should define our resilience.

To me, creativity means the ability to orchestrate a way for multiple perspectives to be seen. A way that many voices are heard, no matter the struggle or pain they are facing.
