• Artist Statement

  Music has surrounded me all my life. The euphonic connection that links humans together, a language that everyone can understand. My family fell in love with this concept, forming a band of musicians over the years dedicated to composing rhythm and melody together. An ensemble that was split apart after the loss of my uncle, who was the heart composer. For a long time, I couldn't look at music the same. And I still haven't gotten into it, even though I could've all those years ago. Recently, I was reminded of these moments, of that guilt of not being a part of it sooner. But I remembered how he was so proud of me then, and he'd be proud of me now, no matter the decisions I've chosen. This photograph represents how even in the darkest moments one can go through, we can't forget about the light we once had.

• Creative Statement

  In my opinion, creativity is the freedom of expression. It allows individuals to present their emotions and imagination into a funnel of inventive forms, ranging in the spectrum of art. Personally, creativity allows me to represent myself in various forms, whether it's through my passions or my work.
