I've always been really inspired around the idea of home, and how that informs everyone's worldview. For this image, I wanted to invoke something related to home in the viewer. Some may view the lightning and the tall house as opposing forces, with the house towering above to block the lightning, signifying home as a safe harbor. Alternatively, the lightning arcing towards the house may signify how the idea of home does not always connotate positivity for some individuals. By taking the very grounded idea of a home and combining it with the extreme nature phenomenon that is lightning, I hoped to show the simultaneous juxtaposition and dichotomy in the two.

Creativity, to me, is two people being inspired by the same muse and going two wildly different directions with that inspirations. Creativity is what makes us unqiue, it is what makes you "you."
