I wrote this song as a thank you to three people that I've known my whole life, who I'm just so grateful to be growing up with. They've looked out for me and lifted me up more times than I can count, especially in the last couple of years. I've felt that I needed to write this song for a while, and that feeling only grew as they kept being the amazing people that they are, and so kind to me. It's really hard for me to express how much I love and appreciate someone to their face, so I'm so happy I could do so with writing. It's the best feeling to put everything you've ever wanted to say to someone in a song, because you can pour your heart out freely, and create something so meaningful. I'm excited and terrified to finally give this thank you to them.

Creativity means expressing who you are, even when you feel like you're not good enough. It means being brave enough to start, working for a long time, and sharing a piece of yourself with others, hoping they will understand what you couldn't speak aloud.
