  The Cricket is a flash fiction piece that conveys the feeling of connection. Whether to each other, the earth, or the smallest of bugs—the sun shines a little bit brighter when we can connect with the world around us. While this piece recalls only a small moment, it showcases the human ability to relate to our surroundings, making the most insignificant of things feel incredibly special.
