The idea for this piece was sparked during a restless period where life grew increasingly stressful daily. The persistently overwhelming pressure of my academics, which demanded great success, forced me into a perpetual state of anxiety. Each new task was like another weight piled onto my chest. Each day felt as if while attempting to gasp for air, my lungs could not expand. Most days, I could not breathe. The Flower Garden is an actualization of my escape from reality. I chose to leave minimal space between the flowers to showcase a suffocation of tranquility, leaving no room for the manifestation of anxiety in my idealistic setting. The creation of each flower was tedious, providing a perfect distraction to my stressors. Often, the most resilient thing about flowers is their ability to refine soil after their death. I think of myself as a flower, now blooming more vibrant than ever.

Creativity is the motivation I possess to create. I consistently strive to push the boundaries and create authentic works which establish my unique perspective as an artist. No idea could come to fruition without a distinctive, original sense of creativity to support it.
