This piece is a reflection of my time spent in South East Asia--over half my life--in which I had the privilege to admire the architecture. Over time people build around it and forget the culture and these intricate designs and so I wanted to breathe new life into the art. I took designs from multiple pagodas in Bagan, Myanmar and by using inks I was able to give not only a modern and abstract approach but also keep a sense of warmth and nostalgia. This peace helps me to really appreciate these cultures and I hope to continue to use it to influence my work as an artist.

Creativity to me means freedom. When you unleash your creativity on the world you are taking a stand and showing people your voice. To be creative is to show people a true raw side of yourself that is really beautiful and unmatched.
