the line and the egret.

Love is always a complex thing. It is a beautiful, tragic feeling that can consume. Relationships are never simple, and I’ve found that some relationships can be full of love, but also destruction. There’s a point where going back to someone because of that pull is similar to walking toward the glory of fire and hoping it doesn’t burn you. Writing “the line” and “egret” was a privilege, but feeling the emotions as I processed its origins has been enlightening—it was not an easy process. “the line” represents that perpetual push and pull—being pushed away then pulled back into some semblance of a relationship is oddly thrilling, but can leave deep emotional scars. “egret” represents the more introspective side of it—realizing, acknowledging, accepting. Thank you for reading.

Creativity means being inspired by your life and the world around you, taking your own experiences, connecting them to an emotion, and molding them in a way that makes sense to you. Creativity is the expression of everything profound and mundane.
