“The sea knows what you want most. For Kai, that’s Dylan. And tonight, the ocean is calling his name . . .” One day, I found this writing prompt—’ "Dude why did that siren take on my image to try and seduce you, is there something you wanna tell me" AU’. My imagination ran wild. I sat down, an empty document in front of me, and started writing. The end result was a story of two idiots in love and the extremely stupid way they found out. After heavy editing to make the story better [and shorter—the original was 821 words!] I ended up with this. I did have to remove a couple of quotes that I loved, but I think this story is the best it can be. I really enjoyed challenging myself to write exactly 500 words. I hope you enjoy reading this story as much as I enjoyed writing it!
