Two Standees Only

  • Photo taken of the historic Powell-Mason Cable Car on one of its stops near Union Square. As I walked by, I couldn't help but wonder what the standing man was doing at that moment. Was he waiting to board the car or just cross the street? Or maybe he was simply watching all the chaos and happenings of the city. The man's identity is unknown, and though he never said a word, his presence and shadow seem to speak for themselves. This entire scene, ordinary as it was, felt as though it needed to be photographed.

  • In my opinion, creativity is the power to construct something unique using only your mind as your guide. Influences matter; however, it is the melding of these influences with your ideas that produces something distinctly your own.
