I love the way cities, nature, and humanity interact. With this image, I wanted to capture the way people view cities. I live in Novato, and going to San Francisco with friends or family was always dream-like to me. I wanted to capture that, through nighttime photography, how light can influence the awe of a city, and how this awe impacts the individual people of a city. The vivid colors contrasted with shadowy people are used to convey this dreamy atmosphere. I wanted to keep the cars driving across the bridge, all those people sharing in the same dreamy night. The long exposure time also helped me show the lights across both the ocean and contrasting the dark hills and trees. I like finding these areas where the natural and artificial words meet, and finding the whimsy and humanity there.

Creativity is all about finding the truth, either finding something about the world we live in and being able to capture or create art around it, or figuring out something about yourself and finding the truth and art inside of you.
