What Do We Have to Live For?

Lana K.

  • What do we have to live for, if not art? This piece explores cinematography, not just an aspect of narrative storytelling, but in its own category altogether. I created this piece within a week, pulling from various films I have created independently; however, they blend together into a beautiful composition, a celebration of dynamic lighting, color-- a celebration of life. My goal was to construct a mood which honors feeling both lost and hopeful at the same time, an emotion that is felt universally, by all humans.

  • Creativity means a desire to live beyond what is expected of you: a yearn to make sense of the world by making it your own. Creativity is nothing without passion or the drive to improve oneself; just like any other skill, creativity must be nurtured in order to grow.
