• Artist Statement

  This song started as a cute song about a small sparrow, but quickly evolved into a metaphor for accidentally leading someone on. The person singing has let a sparrow in out of kindness, to keep it out of the cold, but the bird mistakes it for something else. As well as the theme of the song, the tone changed as well from the original composition. It was initially happy and folky throughout the whole song, but with the heavier theme, I decided to add a more sorrowful bridge towards the end.

• Creative Statement

  Creativity, to me, means thinking without overthinking. It's letting ideas take shape without judging or scrutinizing them, creating space for a special part of my personality and self. Creativity is the freedom to make and create, and to give life to our own thoughts.
