You’re not WANTED, not INVITED

  • I want viewers to understand that my piece explores the complicated line between friendship, envy, & pain. It challenges people to look beyond surface attitudes & recognize how easily we miss the emotional realities of others & ourselves. My piece tells the story of two girls whose friendship fractures under jealousy, privilege, & unspoken resentment. Through Haile’s raw inner voice, I explore how relationships can twist when pride & misunderstanding take over. Writing this narrative, I leaned into emotional honesty, capturing the bitterness, humor, & guilt that come with losing someone long before they’re gone. My artistic journey for this work involved blending realism with dramatic tension, shaping each scene to reveal how both girls hide behind their own performances. This piece reflects my interest in flawed characters & the ways we justify actions, even when they’re dark. Ultimately, it is a story about distance, consequences, & the parts of ourselves we avoid confronting.

  • To me creativity is the ability to transform thoughts and feelings into something meaningful. It’s the act of imagining beyond the obvious, shaping original ideas, and expressing them through any form. Creativity allows people to explore possibilities, challenge limits, and communicate truths that ordinary language or logic cannot fully capture.
