• Artist Statement

  My artistic process involves firstly, understanding the tone and possible interpretations of the work through listening to recordings and deciding on my preferred interpretations. I then focus on achieving technical proficiency as well as playing convincing phrasing and ensuring that it does not differ too severely from the intent of the composer. I go through many phases of trial and error, and work with my teacher on each piece to ensure that my interpretation is one that I am satisfied with.

  It enables me to better understand myself as a person, as well as aiding me with my focus and motivation, which are both required to play the violin.
