This documentary spotlights the process of creating a ballet, and follows the students of Marin Dance Theatre as they navigate the life of a dancer, and prepare for the annual production of "Sophie and the Enchanted Toyshop." When I was in 8th grade, I was inspired to create this documentary because I have been a dancer at Marin Dance Theater for almost five years, but I have always been the one on the stage. Now I was excited to show people both the challenges that arise, the joy that is felt, and the community that is created before the curtain rises.

Creativity means a chance to express myself. Art is an opportunity to be vulnerable without using words, and can inspire both yourself and others. This has caused creativity to be an important part of my life as I believe it makes the world more interesting and more beautiful.
