To reflect on the connection between machines and history, I drew two bulls in contrasting styles. The blue bull uses abstract geometric shapes which resemble computer pixels and features primitive drawings. It depicts a fusion of nature and digital technology, symbolizing modernization, and the integration of the digital world into natural life. The brown bull is rendered in a cave-painting-like style with mechanical and industrial elements inside its body, similar to a blueprint. This image represents the transformation of living creatures into machines, reflecting the theme of industrialization and impact of technology on nature. Together, the images create a contrast between digital modernization and past industrialization, conveying a commentary on how human advancements in technology has altered our relationship with nature. The artwork explores themes of technology’s impact on natural life and the traditional versus modern influences on humanity’s perception of the natural world.
