Dissection: Teddy Bear

I wish I could go back, when everything was easier, when I didn’t care about the future, when I was playing with my parents, watching cartoons, drawing without worrying what others think. I found my childhood teddy bear, and I started to dig up memories I had with it, like I was dissecting it. What memories does it hold? After studying it I remember little parts of my childhood and it brings me comfort. Maybe I should revisit those old cartoons I watched, or draw without thinking about what other people thought of my art. Just thinking about the freedom I used to have, brings me comfort and helps me forget all the things I was stressing about. My choice on using oil painting reflects on how things may not be going well in the present, but my childhood keeps color in my life.
