I started ceramics my sophmore year, and despite no other seniors sticking with it for all three years, I did and it has remained my favorite class. My teapot was inspired by my love for animals and nature. I hoped to create a more intricate project and challenge myself to a level I hadn’t previously. I worked extremely hard on this project, slowly creating each level of the whale with coils. I then hand carved the ocean floor on all four of my cups and meticulously painted each aspect of it.
