• Artist Statement

  I painted two stuffed animals that I used to play with when I was younger. I wanted the piece to reflect the feeling of growing up and leaving things and memories behind. As time passes, I start to forget about things from my childhood, but the stuffed animals are holding onto their time that has almost run out, doing their best not to be forgotten. When painting it, I started with a grisaille layer, and then added color and details.
