• Artist Statement

  I was inspired by my close friend, Amelia, who is always sharing new concepts that I’m constantly surprised by. I think about the depth of her emotion and how I could understand her better, so I decided to paint a portrait of her that reflects her ability to think deeply. I think this piece also shows the complexity of teenagers thought and emotions. The struggle to hide emotions while trying to meet others expectations.

  I believe that creativity is being able to exploring different possibilities and express emotions. Combining imagination with knowledge, using personal experiences to create something unique.
