• Artist Statement

  The idea for this piece came to me in a dream. I saw a tea party in a forest but the teacups, teapot, and table settings all were part of nature. I threw the piece on the wheel and carved the wooden pattern into it. I then added a handle and spout and the flowers and vines.

• Creative Statement

  Creativity is an outlet for me. I love science and math, but nothing gives me the same satisfaction as creating something completely original. I love the process of thinking of an idea, trying to put it into words, and making it happen.
