2003 is about a time in Iran where a mother and child lived together by themselves. It captures how a mother had to step up and take care of a child in a world where women were viewed as less then. He’s stare with no smile goes with the hardships she had to face, holding on even during a photograph. The smudges of charcoal represent how the mother has certain pressures that she cannot erase while the child’s side is so much clearer. The photograph doesn’t jsut capture themselves physically but the mentality that consumes a mother.

What creativity means to me is that it is a way to gather all my thoughts into an a creation that expresses things that cannot be expressed simply by one thing.
