This piece is a solo over Erykah Badu profound song entitled "Afro Blue". This solo was composed on the spot and its wandering melody pulls the listener in to embrace a mixture of a variety of different styles. Because my background as a musician is extremely versatile(Ive exceled in Taarab, Jazz, American Fiddle Tunes, Blugrass, Blues,Irish, and Celtic) I wanted to showcase how beautiful a culmination of those styles would be. This solo is a love letter to Erykah Badu as well as the people who have pushed me endlessly to get to the point that I am at.
