"Again" is a song that expresses the rebirth and rejoicing of life, especially after hardship or devastation. Life will always find a way to come back. This could refer to plants literally growing back after a wildfire, or a person healing from loss. I wrote the lyrics and the music, and perform the vocals and guitar. The lyrics came to me as I was figuring out the fingerpicking. It took me forever to come up with the title for this song—it was "Rejuvenation" originally. I also played it two keys lower, but now I play it in Open E tuning with the capo at the 6th fret.
