Baby Teeth

Ezra S.

  • I wrote this song about growing up, and realizing just how much I've changed. I was interested in baby teeth as something nostalgic and pure, but also symbolic of growing up and permanently leaving things behind. While the song started in a place of denial, I came to accept what I've lost growing up and cherish what I've gained. Musically, I wanted this song to be bare-bones, and showcase the imperfections in my voice, which I reference in the lyrics. I was especially proud of the chorus, and the idea of my teeth as new, and eventually kind strangers, just like any change in life.

  • Creativity is an outlet for any emotion or idea imaginable, no matter how specific, personal, or strange. It is a way to condense these ideas into the most powerful format possible, art, and share it with others who may be just as inspired by it as you were.
